GurusReads

Affiliate Disclosure

GurusReads believes in radical transparency. In short: if you click a link on this site to buy a book, we might earn a small commission, but it will never cost you any extra.

Amazon Associates Program

GurusReads is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click on links to various merchants on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission.

Why do we use affiliate links?

Building and maintaining the massive vector databases, LLM pipelines, and high-speed edge networks required to power GurusReads' recommendation engine is expensive. Affiliate commissions help offset these server costs and allow us to continue providing the vast majority of our tools and features completely free to users.

Does this impact recommendations?

Absolutely not. Our database of books is crowdsourced and aggregated from thousands of independent podcast interviews, articles, and biographies of visionaries.

We do not accept paid placements from publishers or authors. If a book is recommended by Elon Musk on a podcast, we add it to his Visionary profile. The Amazon affiliate link is simply generated automatically based on the book's title and author.

Other Merchants

While Amazon is our primary affiliate partner, we may occasionally use affiliate links for other book retailers (like Bookshop.org or Barnes & Noble). The same principles of transparency and editorial independence apply.
